me too bracelets  a support group in a bead

Sarah, Christiane & Stephanie, Beaver Creek, Colorado

Welcome to me too. We started this organization after suffering
the biggest loss of our lives – the sudden and tragic death of
our father, our hero,
Steven.

When it happened, the only people we wanted to talk to were
others our age who had also lost a parent.  We were certain
that they would be the only ones who could possibly
comprehend the pain we felt.  We had lost our blood, half of our
soul.

And our mom was only 49.  Still wearing her wedding ring,
people ask her about her husband all of the time – what he
does for a living, or how long she’s been married. Sometimes it’s
the littlest things that get you.  Those simple questions have the
most complicated answers.

The thing is, although we all understand and can empathize with
the intensity of the pain; we can’t know it completely.  Our mom
can’t understand how we feel having lost our father.  And we
cannot begin to fathom a longing stronger than what our mom
must feel for our dad, her soulmate.

And hence, ‘me too bracelets – a support group in a
bead’ was born. Our mission is to unite people who have
experienced a great loss by helping them to identify one
another. At the same time, me too will give those who
haven’t experienced a great loss a means of knowing
and a gentle reminder of the factors in play in one’s life.

Each bead represents the loss suffered.  Blue for a father, red
for a husband, pink for a daughter (click on
Bracelets for a
complete listing).  Please check back for new developments with
our children's line of bracelets.

Thank you for supporting our mission and please look around to
learn more about us.

We were recently a part of the new Discovery Channel tv show
called NOW, No Opportunity Wasted.  To learn more about our
